Situated close to the Pakistan Border, Jaisalmer is a major tourist spot located in the northwestern state of Rajasthan in India. It is called the ‘golden city’ due to its bounteous golden dunes flowing in the Thar Desert. Jaisalmer is adorned with lakes, ornate Jain temples, havelis and castles clad in golden yellowish sandstone. Climb on to the camel saddle and make your way through this desert or camp under the night sky in this golden land for an unforgettable experience.

Day 1: Overnight journey to Jaisalmer

Report at meeting point for departure as the bus will begin its overnight journey to Jaisalmer by 6:30 pm.

Day 2: Arrival and sightseeing

Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and energize yourself with some brunch (at your expense). Rest for a while before we leave for the local sightseeing. Prepare for the journey as we begin with the local sightseeing and some popular places like Gadisar Lake which was artificially built as a water conservation reservoir, Sunset Point which is a small hill in Jaisalmer known for showcasing every detail of the sunset with captivating point and Bada Bagh to witness the royal cenotaphs near the dam with beautifully carved ceiling and elegant statue of rulers. After such astounding day, move back to hotel for lip-smacking dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Sam sand dunes, camel rides, camps and bonfire

As soon as you wake up, get ready and have breakfast as we will leave for the tour of the day. First on the list is visiting Longewala where Indo-Pak war of 1971 took place and paying salutations at Tanot Mata temple, an incarnation of Goddess Hinglaj Mata. this is followed by check-in at camps in Sam sand dunes. From there we will go for camel rides which will takes us to sunset point. As we return to camps, tilak ceremony will be conducted for a warm welcome. After this, rest for a while as we need to gear up for the party at night. In the eve, attend cultural programs, folk dance and music, DJ and bonfire. Authentic Rajasthani thali will be served for dinner. Once you have enjoyed and danced your heart out, move to your camps for night stay.

Day 4: Jaisalmer fort, Patwa haveli, Salim Singh haveli, and market visit

Wake up early morning and have breakfast as we will check out from the camps and travel back to Jaisalmer city. On the way, we will be local sightseeing and visit Jaisalmer fort also known as “Sonar Qila” as it made from yellow sandstones. This is followed by a visit to Patwa haveli, the traditionally embroidered residence and Salim Singh haveli, an architectural wonder that resembles to the posture of dancing peacock. We will also visit local markets to witness the vibrant, traditional and ethnic culture of Jaisalmer. Post market visit, we will have lunch and then we will leave for Delhi.   The time we reach Delhi the trip will come to an end with impressive moments.
