Dharmasthala
Want to awaken your spirituality from within? Explore Dharmasthala and Southadka for the same. Dharmasthala is a 800 years old temple town that has temples dedicated to various deities such as Lord Shiva, Tirthankara Chandraprabha and other protective Gods of Jainism Kalarahu, Kalarkayi, Kumarasvami and Kanyakumari. Each of the temple has some folklores associated with it that you will hear when you visit the place.
Southdka is another untouched pilgrim center which is 20 km away from Dharmasthala. Locally, it is known as Maha Ganpati Kshetra. Here, the idol of Lord Ganesha is majestically placed amidst serene atmosphere under a tree. Even this place has an interesting story which explains the placement of Ganesha’s idol in cucumber meadow.

Activities
Day 1: Departure
As soon as you arrive, check in at the hotel. Stretch out a bit at the hotel for a while and then, move for sightseeing in and around Dharmasthala. First, you will visit Sri Rama Kshetra, on the banks of river Nethravathi. Then, Rathnagiri to witness the statue of Bhagawan bahubali or Gommateshwara, Bidinede (Annappa) Betta, Car Museum, Manjusha Museum, Chandranathaswamy Basadi. In the evening, you will pay visit to the Manjunathaswamy temple, the main attraction of Dharmasthala and seek blessings Lord Manjunatha (Shiva). You will now head to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Return
After breakfast, you will check out the hotel. Enroute, to Southadka Ganapathi kshetra at Kokkada. This place is dedicated to Vana Mahaganapathi (without any temple structure) and it is surrounded by scenic beauty. After offering prayer to the God, you will drive back to Bangalore.
